Fick ett mail igår från Lotte Peplow som dels är ständig jäst-skribent här på pilsner.nu, men även American Craft Beer Ambassador för Europa på Brewers Association. Hon berättade att hon och representanter för fem bryggerier kommer till Sverige i maj. Närmare bestämt till Bishops Arms på Odengatan i Stockholm den 16 Maj och till Haket i Göteborg den 18 Maj.

Bifogar det hon skickade här nedan, men det ser riktigt roligt ut med bra saker som kommer så jag ska i alla fall försöka besöka BA i Stockholm den 16 Maj.  Har man tur kanske man får en keps det står Anderson på 😉

NEW AMERICAN CRAFT BEER TOUR ANNOUNCED!

A unique, new and exciting American craft beer ‘Tour’ will be taking place in Sweden this May presenting a one-off opportunity to sample coveted, high quality, innovative American craft beer on draught and to ‘Meet the Brewers’ behind the beers who are travelling across from the States to support the Tour.

American craft beer on draught will be shipped from the U.S. to be poured at the following venues:
The Bishop’s Arms, Odengatan, Stockholm on Thursday 16 May
Haket, 32 Foersta Laanggatan, Gothenburg on Saturday 18 May

Brewery representatives from each brewery will be on hand at both venues from 5pm to talk and taste beer with you and the tour has been made possible with the support of the Brewers Association, the not-for-profit trade association representing small and independent American craft brewers, and curated in partnership with Crafted Exports, the leading USA craft beer exporter and brand builder, and Tomp Beer, Wines & Spirits AB who sell and market a number of different brands in the Swedish market. Entry to the venues will be free of charge.

Lotte Peplow, Brewers Association’s American Craft Beer Ambassador for Europe, comments: “The inaugural American craft beer tour of Sweden is designed to stimulate trial and drive awareness of high-quality beer currently available from independent American craft breweries. It presents a superb opportunity to sample innovative American craft beers exclusive to Sweden while finding out more about them from the brewer. This is the first event of its kind in Sweden and we’re looking forward to raising a glass with you.”

Sweden is an important export market for American craft beer and the largest in the EU accounting for 7.1% of all exports in 2022. It is the third largest globally behind Canada and the UK. Many award-winning American craft beers can be found in Systembolaget and on trade venues throughout Sweden.
